Each backup routine creates a "history" entry each time the job is executed. A history entry can have a state of: Pending, Error, and Success. These states can be seen when viewing the history of a server, backup routine, or general history of your account.

Only one history item will be created for each job execution, but that item will be updated as the job completes with details about what happened. So generally you'd see the job go from Pending to Success.
