After you have a backup job setup and saved if you navigate to the "view" page for the backup there is an on-demand backup option. Selecting this option will allow you to verify that the backup is working properly.

IF your account doesn't include the on-demand backup feature all the time, Ottomatik does enable it for 24 hours on newly created backup jobs. If you are modifying a backup job and need to test it, a trick is to clone the backup job and run on-demand tests there. Once the settings and operation are verified just make sure everything matches on the original and delete the clone. This will preserve the backup history on your original record.
